Q: Can I pay all my bills with Online Bill Payment, or is it limited to businesses?
A: You can pay anyone you want to pay with Online Bill Payment. Payees can be anyone from the neighborhood boy who mows your lawn, to utility companies, to credit card companies. You simply add individuals or companies to your list of payees, complete the required information, and then specify the amount to be paid and when the payment should be made. You cannot use Online Bill Payment to pay government, Internal Revenue Service or any court appointed payments, such as alimony and child support.
Q: What if the person or business I want to pay does not accept electronic payments?
A: Some payees, such as the kid who mows your lawn, are not equipped to accept electronic payments. They will be paid by check.
Q: Are there minimum or maximum payment amounts??
A: You can pay any payment from $1.00 to $9,999.99 online.
Q: Do I have to enter the information on the day I want my bills paid?
A: No. You can authorize payment immediately, at a future date, or on the same day each month. Immediate payments are entered into the processing system the next day. For future payments, you specify the date for actual processing. For recurring payments (regular monthly payments that are due the same day each month), you set up automatic payment.
Q: Should the payment date I specify be the date the payment is actually due?
A: No. You need to allow three business days prior to the due date for electronic payments, and five business days prior to the due date for check payments. Online Bill Payment service will indicate how each payee will be paid--either electronically or via check.
Q: When does the money come out of my account?
A: Early on the designated payment date, funds will be taken from your account to pay a scheduled bill.

Incorrect payee information can cause delays in payments.
Q: What if I don't sign up for Online Bill Payment and decide later that I want the service?
A: You may sign up for Online Bill Payment anytime by simply completing the appropriate section of our online banking application and dropping it off at any Indiana Bank & Trust Company location. Q: What happens if I don't have enough money in my account to cover a bill payment?
A: If your account balance has insufficient funds to cover a payment, we'll pay the bill and then immediately attempt to charge the amount to your account. If there are still insufficient funds in your account, you will be notified of the situation and you will not be able to make any additional bill payments until the situation is resolved. Applicable overdraft fees will be assessed.
Q: How can I prove payments were made?
A: With each payment, you are given a confirmation number. In addition, payments will appear on your account activity screen so you can verify they were posted to your account. You'll also continue to receive your monthly statement which will itemize all activity. The statement will list each payee's name along with the payment date and the amount.
Q: Can I delete a scheduled payment?
A: Yes. You can cancel or modify a scheduled payment up to 11:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time of the day before the payment is to be made.
